How to Book Appointments Online

For those who are NEW patients to Holland Opticians

 

1. Click on the book appointment button at the top right-hand side of the homepage.

 

2. On the next page ignore the ‘have you previously used our online booking system’ question.

 

3. Instead, click on the ‘Make An Appointment’ button directly above this. This will take you through to a page which lets you choose your date/time/preferred optician.

 

4. Once you have completed this you will be asked again if you have previously used the online booking system. Click ‘no’ and it will ask you to set up with an email address and password.

 

5. When asked if you are an existing customer of Holland Opticians, click ‘NO’.

 

6. You will be asked to fill in your details, and then a verification code will be sent to you. Enter this into the box, then confirm your appointment.

 

 

For those who are existing patients of Holland Opticians but new to online booking

 

1. Click on the ‘book appointment’ button at the top right hand side of the homepage.

 

2. On the next page ignore the ‘have you previously used our online booking system’ question.

 

3. Instead, click on the ‘Make An Appointment’ button directly above this. This will take you through to a page which lets you choose your date/time/preferred optician.

 

4. Once you have completed this you will be asked again if you have previously used the online booking system. Click ‘no’ and it will ask you to set up with an email address and password.

5. When asked if you are an existing customer of Holland Opticians, click ‘YES’.

6. When asked if you have a verification code, click ‘no’.

7. You will be asked to fill in your details, and then a verification code will be sent to you. Enter this into the box, then confirm your appointment.

 

 

For those who are existing patients and have used the online booking portal before

 

1. Click on the ‘book appointment’ button at the top right-hand side of the homepage.

2. Log in using the email address and password you used to register with.

3. Once logged in you can book an appointment.

 

 

For parents who want to book appointments for their child

 

The online booking system is based on your email address. Therefore each patient has to have their own unique email address - this means that parents and guardians cannot use their own email address to book an appointment for their child.

 

The online booking system doesn’t allow the use of one single email address against more than one patient. We’re sorry, but the computer says no :-(

 

There is a proper reason behind this and it relates to keeping each individual clinical record separate. So if you use your own email address to book in your child, you will not be able to use this email address to book yourself in.

 

We know it seems crazy to ask you to have a unique email address for a young child. The only way around this for you to be able to use online booking for your child is to set up a free email account such as a Gmail account, and then set up automated forwarding from the Gmail account to your own personal account.

 

This means the online booking will work and all emails will still come to you without you having to log into another email address.

- Once the email has been set up, sign into the email account and click on settings at the top right-hand side 

- Click on ‘FORWARDING AND POP / IMAP on the horizontal menu bar.

- Click ‘add forwarding address’ and input the email address that you want the emails to go to.

You can then use this Gmail address to sign up for online booking on the Holland Opticians website using the instructions above, making sure you input your child's details (name/DOB etc) when required.
